November 20th is B-Sides Day!

| | |

Looking at this week's release schedule, I found that this week seems to be B-Sides and rarities week for a number of inReview artists. Here's the info:

  • Tooth & Nail rock band Anberlin, after three albums, is putting out a collection called Lost Songs that includes 4 B-sides, 3 acoustic versions of album tracks, 5 cover songs, and a Christmas song. Nearly all these songs and non-acoustic versions have been available to fans via online bonuses, special editions of albums, and other compilations, but it si a great way to get everything in one place.
  • Good friends of Anberlin is the band Copeland, which are also putting out a collection after three full-length albums. Their album, Dressed Up & In Line features acoustic and alternate takes on songs throughout their albums as well as a number of other goodies for 15 tracks just for Copeland fans.
  • On an entirely different level, U2 today releases the 20th anniversary edition of one of their most defining albums, The Joshua Tree. Sure, you can get the remastered 20th anniversary edition, but what you really want are the upgrades. There's a 2-disc set that includes 14 B-sides and rarities from the Joshua Tree era. Then the Super-Deluxe edition also includes a DVD with a full concert from Paris in 1987.
