Most Spun 2007: Gabriel Wilson

| |

Submitted by Gabriel Wilson of The Listening (current album: The Listening EP and Lovely is Death - acoustic solo album)

1. Midlake Trials of Van Occupanther

It came out in mid 2006, but I didn't discover it until January 2007. I listened to it non-stop for way too long. I haven't heard an album strike me like this since Fleetwood Mac's Rumours...

2. Ray Lamontagne Until the Sun Turns Black

I remember the first time I heard him sing the line..."You see, I've been to hell and back so many times I must admit it kinda bores me"... I was floored. Stunning honesty from one of today's most brilliant writers.

3. Innocence Mission We Walked in Song

This band will always hold a special place in my heart. And this record played in my house on repeat for 3 months after its release. No joke. It never stopped. :)

4. Radiohead In Rainbows

The best album to come out in the past 10 years, in my opinion. It’s beautiful. It would've been number one in this list had it come out sooner in 2007.

5. The National Boxer

Paste magazine's #1 album of 2007. This band is truly, truly amazing.
