Toronto-based rapper-producer The Runaway is working on a new EP titled Round Two – the follow-up to his recent indie debut A Brief Word.

The effort will include production work from Run, Tony Stone, Theory Hazit and Max from Walkdown Sound, according to Run’s e-mail newsletter.

“There are some special connections with this project that I'll announce in due time,” he says. “There are also LOADS of exciting features that I can't wait to tell you about.”

In the meantime, The Runaway is offering a free album for download, Live at the Palindrome. The recording was completed in 2007 and offers reworked versions of songs from A Brief Word and a bonus studio track called “Soul Raise,” produced by The Runaway and featuring ILL Seer, Shad, Soul Natural and Natasha Kinsman.
